Driving Change on Australian Roads
Roadcraft is a 40-hectare not-for-profit facility driven to reduce road-crash deaths and life-changing injuries on Australian roads through effective driver education and training. For over four decades we've combined classroom education and practical training on life-like training circuits to equip road users with essential knowledge and techniques that make them safer behind the wheel.
With over 1,200 deaths and 54,000 injuries annually on our roads, our mission isn't one we take lightly.

Sharlene Makin
Chief Executive Officer
Sharlene has over 30 years of experience in all facets of Business Management including Finance, Administration Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Public Relations, Systems analysis and improvement. She places great importance on positive leadership, professionalism and fastidious attention to detail.
Jordan Willis
Operations Manager
Seven years with the Queensland Police Service cultivated Jordan's passion for the training aspect of policing. Jordan excelled in his roles as Driver Educator and Senior Driver Educator, making a positive difference by delivering effective driver education.
Rick Southon
Senior Driver Educator
Rick developed a keen interest in teaching Roadcraft's driver education curriculum and has been teaching since 2014. He gets great satisfaction from the positive difference he can make in participants' lives.
Craig Bennett
Senior Driver Educator
Craig has been a Roadcraft Driver Educator since 2016 and strives to create an enjoyable and exciting atmosphere for learning. Prior to Roadcraft, Craig had over 20 years' experience with Queensland Ambulance Service as a paramedic.
Paul Mardon
Senior Driver Educator
After 21 years' involvement with Emergency Services as an operational fire fighter and trainer, Paul is very passionate about reducing the impact that road traffic crashes have within our communities. He has been with Roadcraft since 2017.
Jeff Wood
Senior Driver Educator
Jeff is a former Paramedic who did his driver training with Roadcraft back in the nineties. He is passionate about teaching preventative driver education and committed to reducing road trauma.
Mark Clyne

Mark completed a couple of courses at Roadcraft and was sold on the curriculum. With a background in training for QLD Fire and Emergency Services and First Aid, combined with his enthusiasm for the Roadcraft curriculum.
Marc Morrow

Marc decided to pursue a career change after assisting his teenage daughter in completing her 100 hours of learner logbook hours. His previous experience as an accredited AustCycle safe-cycling teacher complements his role.
Kerry Mawhinney
Driver Educator
Kerry's 13 years' experience in first response policing, which saw her attend numerous road crash fatalities, strengthened her belief that effective education is the key to reducing road trauma.

Phill is our Central Queensland based Driver Educator who assists with Roadcraft courses out of the Benaraby Driver Education Facility. When he's not teaching for Roadcraft, Phill keeps busy running his own driving school.
