Roadcraft's One-Day Safe Towing Course combines essential towing knowledge with practical training designed to help participants better understand their tow vehicle, trailer or caravan and the techniques required to operate the combination safely.
Rather than simply discussing towing in a classroom, participants have the opportunity to practise techniques in a controlled environment at Roadcraft's purpose-built private driver training facility near Gympie.
The course helps participants understand how the tow vehicle and trailer behave together, how towing changes vehicle dynamics and how planning, observation and appropriate driving techniques can reduce risk on the road.

Every tow vehicle and trailer combination behaves differently.
Training with the combination you normally use allows you to develop a better understanding of its dimensions, response, turning characteristics and individual behaviour while practising in an environment specifically suited to driver education.
Participants develop practical towing and manoeuvring techniques while learning to recognise potential problems earlier and make safer decisions before those problems develop into emergencies.
The focus is not simply on being able to move a caravan or trailer from one place to another. It is on becoming a safer, more aware, and more attentive driver while towing.

The course is suitable for new caravan or trailer owners, people returning to towing after some time away and experienced towers wanting to examine or improve established techniques.
Couples can also attend together using the same caravan or trailer, allowing both people to develop the skills to safely operate the combination rather than relying on a single driver.
Our training complex at Gympie is a purpose-built facility which provides the safest possible practice circuits. Our course helps participants to gain an insight into their vehicle and its peculiarities, their own capabilities and how to improve them, and how to predict problems and avoid them. Your caravan/towing driving techniques and knowledge are enhanced as is your appreciation of the road and traffic environment.
Couples can enrol in this course together for the discounted price of $595 for two participants, one caravan.
