Over time, driving becomes automatic. Habits develop, familiarity increases and behaviours that have never resulted in an incident can go largely unexamined.
Roadcraft's Two-Day Corporate Driver Awareness Course provides organisations with a more comprehensive opportunity to examine those behaviours and develop safer, lower-risk driving practices.
The course combines classroom education with extensive practical training on Roadcraft's purpose-built private driver training facility near Gympie.
Participants explore vision, situational awareness, following distance, vehicle dynamics, emergency braking, collision avoidance, cornering, low-traction conditions and on-road low-risk driving.
Rather than simply teaching participants how to respond once something has gone wrong, Roadcraft's emphasis is on recognising risk earlier, creating more time and space to respond and reducing the likelihood of an emergency developing in the first place.
Why two days?
The additional training time allows participants to move beyond simply being introduced to low-risk driving concepts.
Techniques introduced during the first day can be practised, reinforced and developed through more complex practical activities, while educators have greater opportunity to observe individual behaviours and provide targeted feedback.
This makes the two-day program particularly suitable for employees with substantial driving exposure, organisations operating in higher-risk environments, or employers seeking a deeper intervention than a one-day awareness program.
Small-group practical training.
Roadcraft maintains small participant-to-educator ratios to maximise practical driving time and individual feedback.
Training is suitable for experienced employees as well as newer drivers. Long-term driving experience can create strong habits and confidence, but those behaviours may never have been formally examined through low-risk driver training.
The purpose of the course is not to create more confident drivers. It is to develop safer, more aware, and more attentive drivers.
