FAQs
My booking
What if I can no longer attend the course date I’m booked in for?
From the time you make your booking your place in the course is held for you, so we ask that you plan ahead and commit to your attendance on the scheduled date/s of the course you have booked. To secure your spot on the course, your full course fee needs to be paid one month before the course date, or at the time of booking for bookings made within one month of the course date.
Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel or postpone your course, the following course cancellation policy applies:
- Cancellation more than one month before the course: 100% refund or transfer to another course date.
- Cancellation less than one month before the course: we will issue a refund ONLY if we fill the spot with another booking. You may transfer your registration to another person (who holds a driver’s licence appropriate to the course, or higher – conditions apply *) without penalty, but Roadcraft must be notified by phoning 54828833 or email enquiries@roadcraft.org.au.
Specifically *
- An open licence driver can attend an Adult, Provisional of Learner driver course
- A P-Plater can attend a Provisional or Learner driver course
- A Learner can only attend a Learner driver course
Cancellation by Roadcraft:
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances, or if there are insufficient participants, you will either:
- Be offered a place on a later course, or
- receive a full refund of any fees paid
I can’t find a course date that works for me. Is there a waitlist?
Yes!
Head to the booking page and fill out your details to jump on the waitlist. When new courses open up, or perhaps someone else cancels their booking, you’ll be the first to know.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
You’re welcome to swap your place with someone else, you just need to let us know in advance.
Also, note that some of our courses require participants to hold a particular licence type (eg. our Adult Driver Course is not suitable for those without an Open Licence).
Be aware that if the person you have swapped with fails to turn up on the day, your course will be forfeited. So we encourage you to ensure the person taking your place is committed to the course date.
Paying for my course
We have a range of flexible payment options to make it possible for every driver to benefit from a Roadcraft course.
Can I pay in instalments?
We can work with you to set up a tailored payment plan that will work for you. Full payment is required one month before you attend your course.
Can I pay on the day of my course?
We ask that your course is fully paid for one month prior to the course date.
If you’re having difficulty in paying for your spot, please don’t hesitate to contact us to set up a payment plan.
Can I purchase a gift certificate for a friend or loved one?
Yes! You can nominate a monetary value or purchase a particular course, and we’ll send you a personalised gift certificate.
To find out more and to purchase, contact us.
How can I pay for my course?
If you’re paying for your course yourself, we can accept cash, EFTPOS, cheques or EFT payments.
The day of my course
The structure and timeline of your day with us will differ depending on what course you’re attending. When you book in with us, we’ll provide a layout of everything you need to know.
For general information about our facilities and how the day will run, keep reading.
What time do I need to arrive for my course?
Most of our courses start at 8:30am, so we ask that you arrive by 8:15am.
For a detailed timeline of your day, check the course info that was sent when you booked in.
What should I wear to my course?
Closed-toe shoes and sun-safe clothes are recommended.
Are there lunch facilities available?
We have kitchen facilities with a fridge and microwave if you wish to bring your own lunch.
There are limited takeaway food options within close proximity and lunch breaks are short, so while you’re welcome to leave for lunch and come back, you might be rushed for time.
